When Opposites Attract: The trend of black & white flowers!
mixing black and white flowers
mixing contemporary design with traditional styling
mixing tropical flowers with garden basics
The working idea was an explosion of contrasts and scale to create something never seen before, something city
chic and something spectacular full of details.
My best work usually goes to brides that have faith that BURST Bridal will make her party beautiful. Catherine, a young bride from
Pickering, Ontario, confessed she didn't know too much about flowers but was familiar with my work and simply let me design
within her budget.
Catherine needed:
arrangements for twelve tables
a bar arrangement, (not pictured, a cluster of 3 BURST Bridal orchids in water arrangements with a floating candles)
two 3' alter arrangements
a head table arrangement
a bouquet for herself
a bouquet for her Matron
two bridesmaid bouquets
a boutonniere for the groom
boutonnieres for the best man and two groomsmen
boutonnieres for two special guests
a boutonniere for her father
a corsage for her mother
two corsages for special girlfriends
cake flower corsages
two bouquets for flower girls and mini boutonniere for the ring boy

The bride was to wear a simple white dress,
pearl and clear crystal jewelry. I wanted her
bouquet to be stellar. The bouquet was a mini
spray of flowers, just enough to accent the
flowers used. No where in any arrangements
was the classic red rose except in her bouquet
and the grooms boutineer. Both red roses had a
clear crystal accent. Something special just for
them. Pearls accented all large roses in her
bouquet and the handle was made using only
one length of silk ribbon, which tied in the style
of an old English bow tie.

The Matron bouquet, similar to the bride's bouquet
but scaled down with a mini bow handle accent.

One of the two bridesmaid bouquets, again scaled
